The Metcalfe Methodist Church stood in the Metcalfe Union Cemetery since the first log building was built in 1838. It would be followed by two replacement churches, the final being a frame church built in 1853. The building was demolished around 1920. The congregation moved to a building outside the cemetery in 1922.
