The Victoria Hall and Glasgow House was a lodging house on the first floor and a community space on the second floor. It was owned by Andrew Lawson in 1867, but had existed prior to him. It was a common spot for doctors and patients to stay while they were in Metcalfe. The community hall was advertised to be “Comfortably seated for 400 people”. The hotel stayed in business till the building caught fire and burned down.
