The Eastman Hotel was on the south side on victoria street beside the Castor Creek with a small bridge behind the building. It was owned by Norman Harris then sold to Andrew York and his family. After functioning as a hotel it was sold to Donald Kennedy between 1889 and 1908. The building was then used as a grocer, a boarding house, and a storage facility. Like many of the other hotels of its time, the building found its end when it burned down.
